1. "I asked for a poem..."

Mountains crumble, stars burst, kings falter,
    yet you remain you.

Wars rage, men die, women weep,
Days pass, empires crumble, warriors flee,
    yet you remain you.

    When darkness envelopes,
When time comes to an end,
    When heavens threaten to fall,
    I say this with meaning,
    Don’t change at all.

I found this in my room recently.
He was a delightful fellow and
    I will never forget him…

He made me believe in me.

  2. No Longer An Option

Sit up with your arms crossed,
    brain at the forefront.
    Eloquently pass the dime,
    with the ill-intent of deprivation.
    It’s a never-ending cycle where standing
    is no longer an option.

    Curled up.
    Bended knees.
    Is there only pleading
    in our defeats?

    Then here.
    Have every part of me.
My delicate seams on divided lands.
    Painted with imaginary lines.
    Violence turns to violet.
    Running through mapping eyes.
    We’re a crumbling infrastructure ready
    to be collected…

    Make you, and me,
    Us, an option.

  3. I didn’t immediately like this song, but after I heard that it was to persuade her father into getting heart surgery… it had a completely different feel to it. I thoroughly enjoyed singing along…
